A CORRECTION.
To the Editor. Sir, —I wish to correct a statement made by Mr Jennings at his meeting, held in the Town Hall on the Ist insl., when he stared that Mr C. K. Wilson was a member of the deputation who waited upon the Minister for Public Works in reference to the Waitewhena deviation. Mr Jennings says that Mr Elliott and myself know that Mr Wilson was a member of the deputation. This is not so. The deputation, consisting of Messrs Wilson and myself, waited upon the Minister of Public Works, introduced by Mr Jennings, in reference to Te Kuiti-Awa-kino road, and after discussing the matter with the Minister, we thanked him, and Mr Wilson had left the room when Mr Elliott said that, as president of the Waitewhena Railway League, he wished the Minister to appoint a commission to inquire into the best route. Mr Wilson was not in the room, and never said one word in reference to the railway. —I am. etc., JAMES WALL. Puketiti, Te Kuiti, November 7th, 1911.
