A telegraph message received from Mr JermitiKS to-day, states that C:\linet has decided to start tho StratlordMain Trunk railway at Te Koura, which is about five mihv< south of Ongaruo. The engineer advises that this saves over six miles of construction, also a monetary saving of .£70,000, besides the upkeep for all time. The, ceremony of turning tho first sod of the railway at Te Koura will be arranged at the earliest possible date and tho Premier will officiate.
