The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At Matiere on 10th inst . we had a yarding cf 475 head of cattle and 500 hoggets. Tha sheep were not required and did not sell. A fair proportion of the cattle changed hands, hut a number would not make owners estimate of value if held for another twe : ve months. Three year steei-3 made £o 10s, store cows £3 10s, fat and killable cows £6 to £7 lis yearHngs £2 103, empty heifers £3 15s to £4, 2 to 21 year steers in fair order £4 9s to £5 2s6d, dairy cow's and heifers sn milk or forward in calf £5 to £7. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd,, report:— On 10th inst. we held a clearing sale near Ohauno of live and dead stock in the estate of the late B. Y. Bingham. There was a good attendance, and most satisfactory prices were realised : Dairy cows in milk made to £l2 ss. springres £8 to £9 ss, springing heifers £5 10s to £5 15s, young calves 7s to 9s 6d, farm mares £l6 10a to £l7 10s, cob £6 ss, store pigs 30s, implements, furniture, etc., at full rates. On the same day at O'nauoo yards v?e submitted 1185 head of cattle, ■which nearly all sold at late quotations Grown steers £7 to £7 Bs, 3 year steers £5 lis to £6 ss, 2 to 2h year steers £4 lis to £4 183. 2 year steers £4 3s to £4 7s 6d. well grown yearling steers £3 2s to £3 10s, mixed yearling 3 £2 14s to £3, 2 year empty heifers £4 7s to £4 13s 6d, 18 months empty heifers £2 Ifis to £3, fat cows Jol 10's to £ s 10?. emptv cows in fresh condition £3 17s to £4 10?, store cows £3 2s to £3 6s. dairy cows close to profit £7 to £3 los. others £4 Ins *to £5 15s, springing heifers £ii to £B, ■woolly hoggets 15s fid, fat woolly hoggets 17s.
