EMPIRE PICTURES

Another excellent series of pictures were screened at Te Kuiti Town Hall on Monday evening by th 3 above company in the presence of a large audience. The entertainment provided was of a mo3t enjoyable and instructive description, and patrons were treated to a first-class exhibition. The picture showing the ceremony at the launching of H. M.S. New Zealand was beautifully clear and distinct, and gave the audience a good idea of the enthusiasm and interest taken in the Dominion's gift by people jn the Old World. Another splendid series showed a cocoanut plantation and how the fruit is picked, packed and transported. This picture was one of the finest things of its kind we have seen. Pathe's Gazette was highly interesting, as, indeed, was the whole programme. On Monday next another splendid programme is announced, when the following subjects will be included Mexican Filibusters," a cowboy drama full of stirring incidents; "Light in the Window," "League of Mercy," dramatic; "Scenes in Colombo," "Mleti to Vladivoski," sceriics; "Le Black Learnst Foly," "A Mix Up," "Kill the Fly," "The New Stenographer," comedies; and "A Trio of Acrobats," novelty.
