AWAKINO COUNTY.

THE BOUNDARIES

The current valuation roll of the Awakino County shows the gross capital value as £350,559, and the ratable capital value as £22,092. The following are the proposed boundaries of the different ridings: North Riding.—All that area in the Awakino County bounded towards the north generally by Kawhia County from the sea to Waitomo County; thence towards the east generally by Waitomo County to the northern boundary of Puketiti No. I Block; thence towards the south generally by the said Puketiti No 1. Block to the Awakino river; thence across that river and by tbe Upper Awakino val]ey road and the road forming the southern boundaries of section No. 5, B'ock IX, Maungamangero Survey Distrct, and sections Nos. 1 and 4, Block VIII, Wahreorino Survey District, to the Waikawau road; thence by the last mentioned road to the Scenic Reserve in Block VII aforesaid; thence by the said Scenic Reserve and sections Nos. 3, 2, 1, Block VII, Wahreorino Survey District, and the northern boundary of the last mentioned section produced to the sea; and thence towards the west generally by the sea to the place of commencement.

Central Riding.—All that area in Awakino County bounded towards the north generally by the North Riding hereinbefore described from the sea to Waitomo County; thence by Waitomo County to the Mangaotaki river, thence towards the east generally _ by the Mangaotaki river to tne Waipotipoti stream; thence towards the south by the Waipotipoti stream to the south-eastern boundary of Mahoinui No. 2 Block; thence by the south-eastern boundary of that block to grant to J. Houston: thence by the Awakino river to the south-wes-tern corner of section No. 4, Block V, Awakino East Survey District, and sections No 3 and 1, Block VI, and the production of the northern boundary of the last mentioned section to the Manganui river; thence by the Mangauni river to a point opposite Sfce north-easrern corner of small grazing run No. 2A; thence by a right line to that corner and by the said •small grazing run to the sea; and to tfce west by the sea to the place ,of commencement. South Riding.—All that area in tbe Awakino County bounded towards -the north by Central Riding hereinbefore described from the sea to the Mokau river; thence toward the east .and south generally by the Mokau river; and thence towards the west by -the seat of the place of commencement.
