Newton King reports: At my fortnightly sale at Urenui on the 7th inst.. there was a large yarding, especially of dairy cattle, several complete herds being offered and realising the following prices. Mr A. Thompson's herd £5 10s to .£ll ss; Messrs H. and D. S. Musker's herd £6 to £ll ss, I also sold on account of Mr E. Julian, who has dis posed of his farm, his fine (lock of sheep, which brought the following prices: 2 to 6 tooth ewes 13s, 4-tooth ewes lis 4d, ewes and lambs 15s 4d, wethers 13s 3d to 14s Id. Of the ordinary yarding of store cattle, mixed yearling 3 made 30a to 42s 6d, yearling steers 425, yearling heifers 425, 2 to 21 year steers £3 2s to £3 15s 6d, 3 year steers £4 4s to £4 7s, empty heifers £3 14s Cd, in calf heifers £3 14s (3d to £4 15s, springing Holstein heifers £5 12s (id to £6, store cows £2 15s to £3 ss, forward cows £3 10s to £4. springing cows £8 7s 6d, forward bullocks £7, fat wethers 16s 9d to ISs 4d, 2 tooth wethers 10s 6d to 10s 6d to 10s lid, sows £3 to £3 10s.

On the same day I offerer! Messrs Pitt Bros.' springing heifers at my Stratford yards, when there was a good attendance. About 130 heifers Were penned, and these being in really good condition met with keen competition throughout, realising from £5 2s 6d to £ll ss, an average of £7 3s per head. On account of other vendors dairv cows made £5 to £9, springing heifers £5 to £S 10s, backward heifers £3 7s (id to £4 15s At Stony River on Wednesday there was a good yarding, and though competition was keen prices were slightly easier than at last sale. Mixed yearlings made 35s to 50s, yearling heifers £2 to £2 l(3s, yearling steers £2 to £2 2s, 2 year steers £3 2s (3d, empty heifers £3 13s (3d to £3 18s, springing heifers £5 5s to £6 15s, store cows £2 7s 6d to £3 4s, forward £3 lis to £4, springing cws £4 6s to £7 10s, bulls £2 to £3 18s.

The Farmers' Auctoinetring Co., Ltd., report: — ' At Morrinsville on Friday 11th instant, we yarded 437 beef and store cattle, 200 dairv cattle and 2800 sheep. There was a large attendance and a good enquiry for all classes, particularly the sheep which with the exception of one small pen were a'so sold by auction. At Ohaupo on Tuesday Bth inst., we yarded 500 cattle and 250 sheep. Prices were about the same as late sales. Fresh conditioned bullocks £0 ISs to £7 10s, 2h year steers £4 12s 'id to £5, 2 year steers £4 9s, 18 month steer £3 15, 12 to 15 month steer £2 Is 6d to £3 ss, fresh conditioned cows £4 9s, fat cows £5 7s Gd, yearling heifers £2 to £2 Is 6d, calves 34s to 445, dairy cows £8 5s to £ll 10s, othei-3 £6 to £7 10s, heifers £5 10s to £7 15s hoggets Ss 5d to 10s 9d, cull ewes 4s 9d to 9s.
