NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.
An interesting meeting of the above named League was held in the Congregational Church during the week, the Rev, A. Armstrong, as President, occupying the chair. Considerable discussion took place in connection with "the forthcoming visit of the renowned ".lady orator. Miss Anderson Hughes. 3t was decided to make a special feature cf the ladifs' meeting, on the afternoon of Miss Hughes' arrival. As this gathering is expected have good and permanent effects in the interests of the reform, a committee of ladies was set up to organise so that 3liss Hughes would be guaranteed a -good hearing. The feature 01 the •evening meeting will no doubt prove -popular and at the close an opportunity ■will be given for questions relative to Ko-license reform and the Dominion vote.
Reference was sorrowfully made to the great loss the cause had sustained 'by the premature death of Mr T. E. Taylor, and it was resolved to place on record a suitaoie minute embodying the League's feelings. It was ■decided that the next meeting of the LaAjjus be held the first Monday after Hughes' visit.
