REALM OF SPORT.
PROTECTION LEAGUE FORMED. [llY xrt.KUH Al'll. I'KKS.S ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, This Day A largely attended meeting, representing every kind of sport, was held last night ti form a New Zealand Sports Protection League. Mr Bell, K.C., presided. He said the chief object was to unite throughout the Dominion those men who wished to have the realm and area of sport not confined further. When the organisation had been accomplished, and when they had real power and influence, then they might seek to enlarge that acoue and area. They might then sound the depth death knell of that very second body of citizens who had been against them, and who, till now had not met with any organised resistance. The meeting decided to form a league, and a central board of control, comprising Mr Skerret. K.C., Mr Bell, K.C., Mr J. H. B. Coates, and the Hon. Dr Collins, was appointed to draft a constitution.
