OBITUARY.
JAMEs RAYMOND CULLICN. It is with deep regret we announce the death, at the early age of ];">, of James Raymond Culle.n, son of Mr and Mrs Gullci), who have only recently taken over Rookwuo.i hoarding house. The young fellow was taken seriously ill on Friday last, and a subsequent medical examination showed him to bo suffering from a complication of peritonitis with appendicitis. An immediate operation wan pronounced essential, and on Saturday afternoon lie was moved on a stretcher to Nim'so Ilattaway's nursing home, where ])r Zo.iel operated on him, assisted by l)r Paxton. His condition was serious from the commencement, and culminated in his death on Wednesday night about 11 o'clock. The body was removud to Maungatoroto near Waipu. North Auckland, by Thursday morning's express, where the burial takes [dace at the week-end. Great sympathy will be felt for the surviving members of the family in their sad introduction to the King Country.
