AMUSEMENTS
TAYLOR-CARRINGTON MUSICAL COMEDY CO. Amusement - seekers will be delighted to learn that the above named talented company will appear in Te Kuiti next Friday evening. The astute management have forsaken drama and moving pictures for a while to go in for a form of amusement that is evidently quite the rage now. They have purchased several up to date farcical and musical comedies, have organised a specially selected company for the proper presentment of the pieces, and are being rewarded for their enterprise by playing to crowded audiences everywhere. The musical numbers include a number of the very latest songs and duets, and the fun of the pieces presented is said to be of the most uproarious character. Mr Charlie Taylor, as an American judge in "The Girl from Chicago," is said to be immensely amusing, and in "Arry and Arriet" Miss Carrington plays a comedy part that causete screams of laughter whenever she is pn the stage. The other members of the company are highly spoken of, both with regard to their abilities as fun creators and vocalists. That the performance is quite up to date is evidenced by the fact that in "Th* Girl from Chicago" MissVergie McTavish wears a beautiful harem skirt of the latest Parisian fashion, specially imported. The prices are fixed at a low rate, so as to enable families to patronise the performance en masse: First-class 2s, ladies Is, second class Is, children 6d.
