A WEAK PLATE. [UT TELKGjtAPH.—I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, This Day. A mishap occurred to one ,of the boilers of the Togariro during her passage from London to Wellington. About nine days before reaching Hobart the top of the combustion chamber of one of the five boilers gave way, owing to a weak plate. The electric light was cut off and some uneasiness was expressed among the. passengers. After a stop of two hours, the Tongariro resumed her voyage, using four boilers. The vessel brought 259 passengers, 45 of whom were arsiated.
