Kio Kio.

A meeting of the Kio Kio branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was held here on the 13th inst., when there were present, Messrs A. J. Ross (in the chair), William Wylie, J. Onion, 0. Onion, Danks, Rankin, Budge and Hudson. Mr Budge was appointed to represent the branch at a meeting of frozen meat and dairy producers to be held in Auckland. The order paper of the Provincial Conference, to be held in Auckland this month, was discussed in detail, and the priniples involved in various remits were approved. Excep tion was taken to a suggestion that farmers should be granted reduced fares on market days, and it Was agreed that the whole community should receive the benefit of any reduction that might be made.
