Mr J. E. Graham has a notice re a land sale in to-day's issue. Mr S. E. Hill, land and estate agent, Hamilton, who recently dissolved partnership with Mr G. McCancllis'n, offers some very attractive properties in another column, to which buyers of farm property is directed. The Hon. li. McKenzie, Minister lor Public Works, has instructed the District; Engineer to put on a surveyor at the Untjaruo end oE the railway route as soon as possible, to prepare grades. A well attended meeting of the managing committee of the Presbyterian Church was held on Monday evening. The Rev. W. Wollass, of Te watnutu, presided over the gathering, and brought several mattexs of importance before thosu present, chief of which dealt with accepting tenders for the erection of the new church. The tender of Messi'3 Hitchcock and Trevarthen, local builders, was accepted, the amount being £2Ol.
Mr A. A. Lisaaman advertises a number of very appropriate specialties for the coming winter season, ranging from influenza cures to spirit stoves. He always provides the usual accessories of a first-class pharmacy, and sufferers would do well to study his list. Mr J. R. Graham has an advertisement in to-day's issue, giving particulars of his Saturday's mart sale. We are very sorry to report that the Mayor, Mr James Boddie, has been ordered by his medical attendant to refrain from all public work for some months to come. He is at present confined to the house, and is suffering from a breakdown as a result of the continued strain of public and private work that has been on his shoulders for many months past. It will be a help to Mr Boddie and his family if he ig not troubled wich public business for the time being.
