Fat ewes 14^ to 15s 9d, fat wathers 14s 6d to 17s 3d, fat shorn lambs 10s 3d, woolly lambs 12s 6d, small store wethers 9s 6d, forward wethers 14s 6d, cull lambs 3s 6d to ss, shorn ewe lambs 7s 6d, fat steers medium weights £8 6s to £9 15s, light weight steers £7 10s, heavy fat cows £6 7s €d to £7 12s, medium weight cows £5 10s to £6, light weight cow beef £4 153 to £5 sa, veal calves £1 10s to £2, store cows £2 5s to £3,. fresh cows £3 15s to £4 ss, 15 month heifers £2 8s to £2 10s; good calves, 32s to 38s, smaller sorts 20s to 255, springing cows and heifres £5 5s to £6, choice dairy heifers to calve August £6 ss. On Wednesday, April 19th we held our Rangiriri stock sale, the yarding consisting of 802 head of cattle, all well bred, but very few had as much condition as is usually carried at this time of the year in the district. Owing to condition not being very good, prices were rather low; still at the reduced figures buyers were operating. Fresh 2h year steers £7 to £7 10s, well bred 2i year steers £4 6s to £4 16a, same age cattle with a little more condition £5 6s, 2 and 2h year old dairy heifers in calf £4 7s 6d to £5, 18 month steers £3 5s to £3 10s„ fat cows £5 5s to £6, fresh cows £3 15s to £4 10s. store cows £2 10s to £3 ss, good calves 38s to 445, smaller and younger sorts 20s to 28s, springing cows and heifers £4 15s to £5 10s, bulls from £2 to £5 15s according to condition.
