AUCKLAND WINTER SHOW.
To The Editor. Sir,---The Committee of Management of the Auckland Winter Show have expressed a wish that some exhibits from the King Country, more especially samples of roots, grain and fruit grown in the district, should be forwarded to them before the 10th of May, that they may give them a prominent place in the show. It is specially desired that the KingCountry be representee; there, because the secretary of the. Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association Ims had many enquiries as to the nature and capabilities of the land in the King Country, and the managers of the show are generously desirous of exploiting our district and affording full and reliable information to strangers and outsiders concerning the great capabilities and advantages of a country which is still but little known to the general public, but which only requires to be better known to be highly appreciated. Any person having produce which they desire to exhibit will oblige by communicating with the Secretary of the Farmers' Union, Te Kuiti, or the undersigned, who will arrange that exhibits be forwarded free of expense. —I am, etc., D. H. LUSK, Prov. Pres. Farmers' Union,
