ENTERTAINMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY. Nowadays thnre is practically no part of the habitable globe where the cinematograph operator does not go in search of fresh subjects. Patrons of moving Dicture theatres expect something new and novel from week to week, and the large audiences that assemble in Te Kuiti to see the productions by the Empire Picture Company have no reason to complain that their wants are not most liberally catered for. There is no gainsaying the fact that moving pictures are in every respect of the greatest educational value, hence their ever-increas-ing popularity. On Monday evening last the programme produced by the above company was thoroughly enjoyed by all present, hearty laughter and applause testifying to that fact. The pictures were as usual faultlessly shown, and were a most carefully selected series. On Monday next among other items will be a stirring one, showing an English fox-hunt from start to finish, and it is described by Auckland papers as one of the best things of its kind ever seen in that city. The new programme appears in our advertising column.
