ENTERTAINMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY. The Empire Picture Company presented an entirely new programme of moving pictures at Te Kuiti Hall on Monday evening last. Good as have been the productions in the past, it is doubtful if anything has previously been screened here to surpass the splendid series comprising Monday's exhibition. The pictures were shown in the usual first-class manner that characterises all the productions by this company, and the big audience present showed its appreciation of the fare provided by frequent loud and hearty applause. On Monday evening next, another new set will be put on, particular of which appear in our advertising columns to-day.
