ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPIRE PICTURES. The ahove picture company presented another first-class programme at the Town Hall, Te Kuiti, or, Monday last, when there was a very fair house, taking into account the inclemency of the weather. As usual the pictures were very clearly projected and elicited appreciation from all present. The dramatic and comedy films "Wireless Romance" and "Traveling Free" were capitally screened, as also were these entitled "With Bridges Burned," "A Salutory Lesson," "Auntie at the Boatrace," "Foolshead as a Footballer," etc. The beautiful scenics "Interlaken to Briez" and "Scenes in Devon" came in for a large amount of applause, as also did "Save of Carthage" (historical drama). An entirely new programme will be presented on Monday next, and a very big house should reward the enterprise of the management.
