J. Thomson thanking | him for his donation of a handsome | medal to the winner of the championi ship chop. It was resolved that the good services rendered by the secretary, Mr W. Dement, during the past season be recorded on the minutes books. i The matter of the advisability, or j otherwise, of joining the New Zealand J Athletic Union was discussed at ! length. It was decided to leave the j consideration of this matter to a full ! meeting of the club, such meeting to J be held at an early date. ! A vote of thanks was accorded to IMr N. B. Lusk for the time and ! trouble he had taken in representing j the club at the recent Auckland j Association meeting. ! The chairman, in reviewing the I past season's meeting, remarked upon | the splendid work done by the subi committees on sports day, and said ! that though a late start had been ! made yet the time had been made up | and the events got off to time, | which fact was favourably commented upon by spectators and visitors. He thought that everything pointed to the sports meeting oE 1912 being a huge success.
