He wished to take the opportunity to thank the ladies for all the good things they had provided that afternoon and for the kind manner in which they had supplied the bowlers with refreshments throughout the afternoon. Mr Brown announced that Mr Jackson had generously donated a handsome banner for competition between the two clubs, the announcement being greeted with loud applause. Mr Stewart, secretary of the Te Awamutu Club, thanked Mr Jackson for his gift and also thanked Mr Power for his remarks re their caretaker, which remarks, he said, were much appreciated. An enjoyable evening terminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
