APPOINTMENT OP OFFICERS. on Thursday morning the Officer Commanding the Auckland Military District arrived in Hamilton and considered the recommendations made by the Board of Selectors, which met last Monday night. Colonel Wolfe congratulated the Board on the splendid work they had done and approved of the following gentlemen being appointed as officers in the Territorials. These have now to be forwarded to Wellington for approval by the Commandant: —■ Battery—Major Herdman, Lieut. Farrer, Lieut. Swarbrick, Lieut. Ewan, Lieut. Northcroft. Mounted Rifles. —Lieut. W. Randstead, Lieut. Collier (Assistant Adjutant). Infantry.—Major Cumming, 2nd in command. No. 1 Company, Hamilton. —Captain W. F. Mason, Lieut. MacDiarmid. No. 2 Company, Frankton.--Captain Jeffries. No. 3 Company, Hamilton. —Captain J. W. Hopkins, Lieut. Thompson, Lieut. Gilmer. Infantry, Te Kuiti.—Captain Fullerton, Lieut. Finlay. Infantry, Cambridge.—Captain S. Lewis, Lieut. J. Foster, Lieut. Pearce. N.Z. Chaplains List. —Rev. li. L. Biamires, Rev. Gow. Captain Rostrick has been selected as Adjutant of the Infantry and will be appointed to a position in the Army Service Corps.
