It has also had under consideration thf establishment of a nurse at Matiere, it being suggested that the subsidy drawn by the Northern Ohura Medical Association of £IOO for a doctor who is supposed to, but does not, exist at Matiere, should be diverted to subsidise a r.urs«. As Dr Collins left the district last August and has not been replaced the actions of the officials concerned are open to grave censure if they are aware that the subsidy is still being drawn.
