EMPIRE LIVING PICTURES,
The Empire Living pictures again drew a large audience at Te Kuiti liall on Monday night. A splendid programme was presented and thoroughly enjoyed by those present. Particularly good was the fine scenic picture of a "Trip from Norway to New York." The pictures were, as usual, clearly shown, and were of a very high class order of merit. On Monday next the well-known and popular drama, "Uncle Tom's Cabin, will be produced, and we are assured bv the management that it is a film of unusual excellence. Pictures of the well-known New Zealand-bred horse, Carbine, by Musket Mersey, at his English' home, will also be shown, as well as a large number of other subjects, making, we are assured, the very best programme yet produced here by this company. TAYLOR-CARRINGTON PICTURES The above appeared in the Town Hall last night, anu, considering that there was the usual weekly pictures the previous evening, there was a really good attendance. The principal production was "The Kelly Gang, and this caused much applause at intervals from the audience. The usual laughter-provoking comics were plentiful,' and there was a fair sprinkling of the dramatic as well as the educational, series. Altogether, the programme screened was a good one, and the company deserved the support accorded them.
THE CALEDONIANS. The many lovers of good singing should be pleased at the opportunity afforded of hearing Jock Willis and company at Te Kuiti Town Hall on Saturday evening. The company comprise seven artists of well-earned reputations., and will treat theatregoers to a programme of quartettes, trios, duets and solos which it is not an every-day chance to hear. The keynote of the company's repiitation has been the class of item 3 rendered, combined with finished rendering, and those who like to hear the old songs sung in harmony will have an opportunity of doing so on Saturday night. As a tenor Colin Cameron is in the first flight of his profession, and with Tam McLean (the man with the big voice), as basso, Jock Wiliis taking the baritone parts, one can expect harmony of a high class order. The genial "Jock" will be heard in new comics, and a very laughable farce will also be put on. Songs of England, Ireland and Scotland will be sung, and plantation melodies will be taken in harmony. Altogether a real good evening's enjoyment should be spent by those who attend on Saturday at the Town Hall.
