The Executive Committee met at ; Waipu on January 12th. ; The president explained that the date of intended show (March 2nd) being the date of the Centra! Waikato Show and the athletic sports at Mangaroa, he had altered the date to March Sth.--Resolved on the motion of Mr Hutton that the president's action be confirmed. A. S. It was resolved that entries for horticultural and industrial sections close on the 7th March. The committee examined the proposed show grounds and made preliminary arrangements for getting material on ground. NOTES. A petition, signed by ratepayers, has been presented to the County Council, praying that a poll be taken to ascertain the feeling of the ratepayers upon rating on the unimproved value. Petitions are being circulated to have a Rabbit Board formed under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908. Owing to the spread of rabbits from the northern boundaries it is being forced upon the settlers the need of protecting themselves from the pest. The Waitewhena, Waikaka and Ma-tiere-Mokau roads are enabling the rabbits to invade the Ohura central districts. Active measures taken now, will control the inroad at a very little cost to settlers while delay will mean increased cost to destroy, besides the damage done by the rabbits.

At the monthly meeting of the Cooperative Dairy Company., payment was made at Sd for December month, giving suppliers £-19lJ. Negotiations with the Tokirima settlers have advanced so far as an offer being made by the Co-operative Company to take delivery of the cream from Tokirima for a minimum of 200 cows (1251bs of butter fat to represent a cow) and pay the Tokirima suppliers the same price as paid to shareholders, guarantee to be for one season,
