ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPIRE LIVING PICTURES. The programme to be presented at the Town linli, Te Kuiti, on Monday owning next by this enterprising picture company, bids fair to eclipse .' anything yet alicianic;!. These enI tertainments are vapidly growing in popularity, not only in Te Kuili. but in all the towns in the circuit where I the pictures are shown, and are al- ! ways most enjoyable and w T ell attended. The programme or. Monday will, among other things, include two splendid scenic pictures, viz., "New York of To-day" and "The Rhine from Cologne to Bingen." The former will take the audience through New York's busiest thoroughfares to the famous watering places and pleasure resorts surrounding the great city. The views of the Rhine are said to be very beautiful, and wiil be clearly and distinctly shown. Another of those sterling India dramas, which have been ruch a success in the past, will be put on. It is entitled "Papinta," and abounds in interesting and pretty scenes, splendidly acttd, and beautifully shown. A subject that is bound to meet with high approval is entitled "A Child's Impulse." This drama is said to bs a particularly fine one, with a delightful vein of pathos running through it. There are many other items on the programme, which is a very long one —no less than over SOCIO feet of film being used —but space precludes a more lengthy review. Suffice it that the management guarantees, that it will be one of the best yet shown. The pictures will be shown at the Otorohanga Hall on Tuesday night.
