FARMERS' UNION.

OTOROHANGA BRANCH. The ordinary monthly meeting of the above branch was held on Friday. Present —-Messrs Johnson (chairman), Jno. Ormsby, N. Prime, -J. Willis and H. M. Quin (secretary and treasurer.) A communication was received from the chief Postmaster, with reference to a Money Order Office and Savings Bank at Waitotno. The provincial secretary wrote re printing account.—Left in secretary's hands. The superintendent of electric lines wrote ra connecting the Otorohanga railway station with the local telephone exchange.—Decided that the secretary communicate with the Railway Department asking thern to accede to the wishes of the Union by connecting the railway station with the local exchange.
