Requiring but 170 runs to win, the South Africans went to the wickets in their second innings. The visitors are unable to account for their downfall, especially after their good showing in the first innings. They were all disposed of for 80 runs. Whitty took six wickets for 17 runs, the other wickets falling to Cottier's credit.
