FURTHKR PROTEST.
His Worship the. Mayor of Tc Kuiti (Mr .las. I'oddie) and the President of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr F. H. Sims) have wired to the General Mar.1 ager of Railways, Wellington, protesting against the exclusion of Te Kuiti passengers from participating in the cheap excursion rates on the night expresses. The message suggests that; for the Saturday night (Sunday 2 a.m.) at least, the facilities be allowed and if necessary extra carriages be put on the express to accommodate passengers from this district. If this very reasonable re.jueat is granted it means that those of us who wish to spend the holidays away from home will be able to have three clear days. I
