A deputation representing the residents of Sumner visited Waipukurau, on December 3rd to inspect and report on the advisability of adopting the "Dreadnought" gai for lighting and other purposss in that town. Mr Bolton, one of th? deputation, said, with reference to the gas, personally he was more than satisfied with it. He like his fellow delegates had arrived in a critical mood. "They had given the gas every investigation. The town he considered was one of the best lighteJ in tho Dominion. Mr Lawrence said the supper provided was worthy of all parties, and also the fact that it had been all cooked by th.-j Dreadnought gas added much interest to the menu. The gentlemen associated with him had ampls opportunity, thanks to those whose health he was prjposing, in viewing in a practical way the advantages of Dreadnoug'i'; gas for cooking purposes. Mr Morrison said a lot had been heard in Sumner about the won lerful light, but not till his present visit to Waipukurau did ho realiso the full value of the Dreadnought gas. Tho* town he came from was a progressive town and wanted the best of everything, and as far as lighting was concerned the experience of his visit was that no better light than the Dreadnought gaa could be obtained.
