John Taylor, charged with objectionable behaviour in the Town Hall on November 30th, was convicted and fined, and a couple of unfortunate individuals who happened to be joining a moving train when the police were present, were fined Is each and costs. H. Law v. J. Gardiner,' £24 15s; W. Irvine v. R. Paul, £2 9s sd; H. Hine v. C. J. Rouse, £4 Is 6d; C. Cliilcott v. Te Katene, £2 ss; H. Hine v. B. Graham, £6 7s 6d; Green and Colebrook, Ltd. v. F. Williams and others, £2 2s lOd; same v. Mrs Fletcher, £6 2s 7d; same v. Ratimu and others, £64 18s 2d.

Judgment summonses. -Green and Colebrook, Ltd. v. Laurie Redman (Mr Hine), £l6 12s 5d. —The evidence showed that defendant had worked for the borough council at Ss a day and during five months had earned £56. Defendant said he could not pay off Green and Colebrook. and was now getting his groceries from J. Nicholls where he paid part cash and had part credit. He could not get a house in Te Kuiti and his wife had returned to Inglewood where she had a house which they could not let. The magistrate said the legislature had provided that amounts earned above £2 a week were liable to attachment. Had defendant lived within £2 a week he could have paid his debt. An order for £3 to be paid by January Ist and £2 every month after, was made. — Green and Colebrook v. Tuketerangi, £4 19s lOd. An order for payment by February Ist was made.
