UPPER MOKAU LANDS.
SOUTHERN SYNDICATE BUYING. TO BE CUT UP. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) Wellington, This Day. . A southern syndicate, which includes an ex Cabinet Minister, is now visiting the Upper Mokau river for the purpose of acquiring a block of ten thousand acres leased to Mr Shibbs and the Mokau Coal Company. It is proposed, if acquired, to cut up the block into small areas.
