The Farmers' Auctioneering Company report: — At Ohaupo on Tuesday, 20th. we held our usual stock sale, and annual hogget fair. There was a good attendance, and a keen enquiry for both hoggets and cattle, and 1318 head of cattle were yarded. Fresh-conditioned 3 year steers, £5 17s 6d to £6, 2J to 3 year steers, £4 12s to £5, 2 to 2£ year steers, £3 15s to £4 7s, 12 to 18 months' cattle, mixed sexes, £2 lis to £3 ss, mixed yearlings £2 Is to £2 3s, empty 18 months and 2 year heifers, £2 19s to £3 10s, yearling heifers, £2 10s, springing heifers, £5 10s to £6 ss, more backward sorts, £4 10s to £5 2s 6d, backward heifers, £3 ss. We penned 1535 hoggets and 142 ewes with lambs. These elicited keen competition and all sold under the hammer. Choice ewe hoggets made 16s 6d to 17s 6d, wether hoggets, 13s lid to 15sld, mixed hogget 3 13s 4d to 15s, ewes with lamb, 17s 3d, a cull lot, 13s. We held our opening sale at Te Awamutu on Wednesday,' 21st inst., and have to report a very successful sale. We yarded 350 head of cattle, and 183 sheep. Heavy fat cows made £6 15s to £7 15s 6d, others, £4 5s to £6 10s, fat steers, £7 14s, fresh conditioned 3 year steers, £5 17s 6d to £5 18s, empty 2 year heifers, £4 ss, 18 month heifers, £3 9s, yearling heifers, £2los, yearling steers, £2 lis to £3, 18 month steers, £3 5s to £3 10s, calves, 35s to £2, springing cows, £6 17s 6d, to £7 10s, choice Holstein heifers, £6 5s to £7 7s, other heifers, backward, £4 5s to £5 4s, ewes with lamb, 20s 6d, forward wethers, 20s, woolly hoggets, 16s 6d, pigs, weaners, 14s 6d. At Hikutaia, on Thursday, 22nd inst., we yarded 350 head of cattle, comprising 250 stores and beef, and 100 dairy cattle. Fat steers old from £8 2s 6d to £9, extra heavy fat heifers, £7 2s 6d to £8 2s 6d, empty_ 18 months heifers, backward condition, £2 7s to £2 others, £3 7s to £3 17s 6d, fresh conditioned cows, £3 16s to £4 6s, store cows, £2 12s 6d, others less condition, £5 15s, 2 and 2i year steers, £3 18s to £4 10s, yearling steers, £2 6s to £2 lis, 18 months steers £3 10, choice Jersey cow, £lO 10s, other dairy cows, £6 7s 6d to £7 15s, choice heifers, £7 ss, others, £5 7s 6d to £5 15s, backward heifers, £4 ss, calves, £2, fat wethers, 28s, store wethers, 19s, store ewes, 12s, pig 3, weaners,9slsi ps, 17s. At Waihou, on Friday 23rd inst., we yarded 600 head of cattle, 56 fat sheep, and 108 pigs. Fat steers made £9 Is to £lO, lighter weights, £6 2s 6d to £6 10s, fat cows and heifers £5 4s to £6 6s, 3 and 3i year steers, £5 13s to £6 9s, 21 and 3 year steers, £4 15s to £5 Is, 18 month steers, £3 2s to £3 4s, 2 year steers, £3 16s to £4 7s, mixed yearlings, £2 to £2 12s, calves, 30s to 38s, empty 18 months and 2 year heifers, £3 15s to £4 Is, yearling heifers, £2 5s to £2 14s, cows in milk, £6 os to £B, springing heifers £4 15s to £6 7s 6d, choice heifers £7 to £8 10s, fat ewes, 17s to 235, fat wethers, 245, pigs—slips, 18s to 19s, weaners, 10s to 16. . The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Dalgety and Co., and New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report: — vVe held our opening sale in the Pio Pio settlers yards on Wednesday. Three was a large attendance from all the surrounding districts. We yarded 660 bead of cattle of which the following are some of the prices: —Forward condition steers made from £5 5s to £6 10s, 2\ year steers made from £4 6s up to £4 14s, 2 year steers £3 15s to £4, yearling steers £2 12s 6d to £3, mixed vearlings £2 5a to £2 12s 6d, young dairy cows at profit from £5 10s to £7, heifers close to profit £4 to £5.
