At a meeting of the Te Awamutu Town Board,, held this week, Mr J B. Teasdale presiding, the matter of opening the new saleyards was discussed, and it was decided that the Puniu bridge should be opened on the same date. It was therefore finally decided that the bridge should be npened at 30 o'clock on July 23rd, the party then proceeding to open the saleyards at noon, when refreshments will be provided, followed by a banquet at-7.30 in the same evening.
