Hosking, Solicitor, of Ormondville, who recently moved to Otorohanga, whera here is now practising his profession. Some 80 friends assembled and a number of speeches were delivered, one speaker commenting on Mr Hosking's association with the local sporting bodies, including cricket, football, hockey, tennis and billiards. The presentation of nn illuminated address from members of the Episcopal Church took place during the evening, in which reference was made to Mr Hosking's help as choir master. Mr Hosking will be an acquisition to Otorohanga. A successful experiment has been tried by a settler on fern land in the south to provide winter feed for sheep.
