OTOROHANGA SALEYARDS COMPANY.

A,meeting of the above company was held in Mr Vicary's office;on the Ist inst., when there were present— Messrs Jno. Ormsby (in the chair), R. F. Gregg, R. G. Matthews, Chas. Cater, R. Green, C- -J. ; Johnson and Wm. Vicary (secretary and treasurer). Mr Johnson proposed a vote of thanks to Mr Ormsby for the trouble he had taken to acquire the freehold of the original saleyards site and that the sum of £2 2s be voted to him by the company towards his expenses. Mr Green proposed and Mr Matthews seconded that owing to the difficulties placed in the way of acquiring the freehold of the original site, that the action of Messrs Vicary and Ormsby in purchasing the freehold of 11 acres in the Tito block for £2O per acre, on behalf of the company be confirmed.— Carried.

It was decided on the motion of Messrs Vicary and Gregg that 1000 call notices be procured. Several applications for shares were considered and allotted. A vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Vicary and Ormsby for the trouble they had gone to in acquiring the present site and handing it over to the Saleyards Company. -
