LAND BOARD REPRESENTATION.

To the Editor. Sir, —I notice in your issue of 7th inst. (Saturday), of the "King Country Chronicle," a reference to Mr C. J. Ryan's candidature at the ensuing Taranaki Land Board election, in which it sgtates that "the Poll takes place on the forenoon of the 13th inst," and, sir, I wish to point out that the date of of the Poll is 27th May and not the 13th as stated in your par. No doubt this little inaccuracy will be rectified in your next issue, and a<* all Crown tenants who are qualified to vote should have now received their voting paper, I desire (if not unduly trespassing on your space) to earnestly impress upon them the vital importance of exercising the privilege .they now possess by electing their own man to represent them on the Land Board, and one who is quite conversant with the disabilities of Crown tenants in general, and those pioneers of Ohura and Aria districts in particular. In conclusion I may remark that this is the first oecasion that the Ohura and Aria districts have had of electing a candidate from their own district to represent them on the Tarankai Land Board, and I sincerely trust that they will realize their responsibilities in this important matter and shew their appreciation of the privilege offered them by registering every possible vote. —I am, etc., CROWN TENANT. Aria, May Bth, 1910.
