I Own Correspondent. j A meeting of settlers was held in] the schoolroom here, to bid good-bye-.to Miss Cussen, who has been schoolmistress at Niho Niho for two years.! [Mr T. Pendray, on behalf oc the sett-i llers, presented Miss Cussen with a handsome gold bracelet. Mr Pendray jthanked Miss Cussen for the care and (trouble she had taken of the children while with them, and expressed the best wishes of the settlers for her fuiture success and welfare. Mr Turner [suitably replied on behalf of Miss Cussen. After a successful euchre pa?ty, dancing was indulged in till [daybreak. The co-operative butter factory closed on the 30th April for the season, Sand suopliers are having their spell [off. Mr Turner, the factory manager, lis I, am told, leaving to take up his on his farm, Toroto road. !Mr C. McKinder, secretary, has rejsigned and the directors have apIpointed Mr G. Denison, of MahhoraIhora, secretary.
