King Country Matters. Matiere. —On the recommendation of the Inspector a request for the enlargement of the school was declined, Otorohanga. —-An application for enlargement was referred to the Inspector. Te Kuiti. —Mr Sims, chairman of the Te Kuiti School Committee, recently wrote asking for increased accommodation at the school, and that in the meantime a marquee should ho sent to ease the pressure.- -The matter was referred to Inspector Ikirnsicle, who recommended that the application be declined, the roll number at present being 195 while there is accommodation for 186. —Mr Greenslade said Te Kuiti was growing very rapidly indeed, and, notwithstanding the adverse report of the Inspector, he was personally convinced that the enlargement of the school was an absolute ncce!sity.—Mr Garland concurred, and said he was surprised at thp adverse -—lt was decided to defer the matterfor six months. Manara. —An application from Mr F. J. Hallmond for the establishment of a school at Mapara was referred to the Inspector to report.
