CATHOLIC SOICIAL.
Successful Function. A highly successful Social was held on Thursday evening last in the Public hall, Te Kuiti, in aid of the funds for the erection oi a Catholic Church in the town. The weather was anything but promising and the number present, same eighty couples, was very good all thing* considered. Everything went smootly. The floor was in capital order and music was supplied by Hetets' orchestra, with every satisfaction. Dancing was kept going until the small hours of the morning. During the evening sorgs were rendered by Mrs Quirk, Mr H. Kneebone, and Mr McKcarney, Miss King kindly playipg the accompaniments. The committee worked well in organising the social, and to their efforts most of its success is due, Thanks arc also due to the ladies for the ready assistance given. The Social was a fiimnical success, anil the new building will profit substantially by it.
