TE KUITI FOOTBALL CLUB

The annual meeting of the above club was held in the "Chronicle" office on Thursday evening last, when a good number were present. Mr C. Matthew was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The secretary (Mr Gresham) read the previous season's financial statement, which showed a satisfactory state of affairs, a small balance being carried forward to the present season. On the motion of Mr Kirk, seconded by Mr Keighley the financial statement as read was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—Patron, Mr F. Sims; president, Mr N. C. Matthew; vice-presidents, Messrs R. S. McDonald, J. C. Boles, F. Darrow, W. McColl, J. B. Young, VV. Standish, W. S. King, F. P. Moorehouse, N. B. Lusk, G. Phillips, J. Mclndoe, P. Cotter, and V. S. Hattaway; committee, Messrs H. Rothery, J. Pitcon, F. Keighley, J. Nicholson, V. Kirk, A. Gresham, A. Hope and A. F. Howarth; secretary and treasruer, Mr G Gresham; selection committee, Messrs Matthew, Pitcon and Rothery; delegates to Maniapoto Rugby Union, Messrs Matthew and Rothery. Proposed by Mr Rothery, seconded by Mr Pitcon, that the membership fee, including registration, be ss. Resolved that honorary member's tickets be issued at 5s each, the owner of same to be allowed to attend all Te Kuiti Club fixtures free of charge. Resolved that the first practice match be played on Saturday, April 16th. Resolved that the secretary be instructed to purchase a practice ball and that same ba left in Mr Pitcon's hands to look after, i Resolved that the matters of insurance and attending to the ground be left in abeyance until a meeting of the Union had been held. The following were elected a committee to arrange for the practice match to be held on the 16th inst. Messrs Keighley, Kirk, Pitcon, Cotter and McColl. Resolved that the secretary write to the Domain Committee asking permission to hold a practice match on the 16th inst.
