The many amusement and musiclovers of Te Kuiti will doubtless look I forward to the visit on April 4th. of undoubtedly the finest company that has ever visited us, the let Troubadours." Mf Edward Branscombe, the director and organiser, in presenting the Troubadours, has endeavoured to appeal not only to those who appreciate good music but also to the general theatre-goer, who enjoys such music enlightened by the introduction of refined humour and harmles-i mirth, still further enhanced by its presentation with costume and action. To colonials, this is an entirely new lorm of entertainment. It is now at the zenith of its popularity in England. The continuous success and enthusiastic reception accorded to this delightful organisation wherever they have appeared is convincing proof that Mr Branscombe has supplied a Jong-felt want in producing a really high class and humorous performance which does not in the slightest dggvee depart from its high place of excellence tp wsat the mask of comedy, 'fhe vocal abilities of each member of the company are spoken of by the critics in the highest terms of praise, Part-singing is a notably feature of their performance and as an assurance that this proved of an exceptional character, it is mentioned that Mr Branscombe is acknowledged in Loudon to be a high authority in this class of music, Additional interest is lent to the various choruses, quartettes, duos, and solos, by their presentations in the form of short scenes with movement and gesture and refined comedy.
