During the present wool season between 50,000 and 60,000 bales have been offered in New Zealand in excess of the amount for the corresponding period of last year. Up to. the Cb.ris.tShurch sales on the 13th u]t., IgO.OOO bales were offered, of which about 170,000 were actually disposed of under the hammer, and in addition about 20,000 bales have changed hands privately. The entire clip for New Zealand is about 450,000 bales, and from present • appearances the public offerings in the local markets will by the end of this season reach -fully-230,000 bales,
