KIHIKIHI.

A very large number of residents of Kihikihi and surrounding districts were present in the Kihikihi Town Hall on Wednesday evening last, the occasion being a social given in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Carboy, who are leaving the district. The Rev. Father Lynch occpuied the chair. The chairman called upon Mr, W. H. Grace, one of the oldest residents of the district, to present to Mr. Carboy on behalf of the residents an illuminated address, and to Mrs Carboy a pair of field glasses. The address was signed by the following:— Father Lynch, A. M. Perry, W. H. Grace, R. Moody, and J. Anderson.
