ROAD MATTERS.
Road matters in Te Kiii'ti and surrounding districts' have bqe'n the general topic of conversation; for some time past. Mr Jennings, M.P., has evidently b£en doing his level best to get mattersj<ercd in connection with the To Kuitl-Taranaki main road, but has so far nqt met With success,; as as evidenced by the following wire received yesterday by Mr Boddie'from Mr Jennings:--
"Can get no satisfactory reply from Wellington. Will you conic to Wellington" to-morrow's train, or what day will sujt you to go right to headquarters?" On receipt of the above telegram, an informal meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was at once called, and it was unanimously resolved, "That Mr Boddic be authorised to proceed to Wellington with Mr Jennings."
