At Pirongia the Alexandra Racing Club held its forty-fifth race meeting on Boxing Day. there being a large attendance. Results:— Maiden Hurlles, one mile and a half.—Briareos 1, Kuroki 2. Also started: Darkness. Maiden Plate, one mile. -Terc 1, A«hora2, Alicia 3. Alio started: Bluemount and Fane.
Alexandra Cup, one mile and a half. —Fraotein 1, Emancipator 2, Golden Gem 3. Also started: Winhaston. Fraulein led from the start, and won as fhe liked.
Stakes, seven furlongs. —Westward Ho 1, Alicia 2, Master Ben 3. Also started: Fane.
Handicap Hurdles, two miles.— Darkness 1. Harkaway 2, Arahura 3. Alio started: Dora.
Handicap Trot, two miles.—Syren 1, Miss Salisbury 2.
Flying Stakes, six furlongs.—Fraulein and Montpetier a dead heat. Also started: Wekn, Emancipator, and Kourangi.
