COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their monthly sale in the Te Awamutu yards on the 27th instant. Entries did not come up to advertised numbers, no doubt on account of the Auckland Show. However, quality made up for quantity, as the entries consisted of well bred animals of all sorts. The springing cows and heifers were good, but somewhat backward, and a few of them were passed in. AH other -rtoek were keenly sought after, especially yearling steers and heifers, all of which found ready purchasers. We quote:—2 year steers, £3 15s to £4; fat cows, £5 ss; fat heifers £5; store cows £3 10s to £4; springing heifers £4 5s to £4 15s; springing cows £4 17s 6d; bulls 2 1-2 guineas to 4 1-2 guineas; 18 months heifers £2 lis; yearling heifers £2 lis; yearling half bred Jersey heifer £3 8s; calves £1 6s; weaner pigs lis to 12s 6d; P.B. Berkshire Boar, 2 months, 20s; P.B. Berkshire Sow, 2 months, 19s.
