ROADS DEPUTATION.
- ♦ - The depots lion from Te Kuiti consisting of Mr J. Boddie, Waitomo County Council, and Major Losk, Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce, which waited on the Minister for Public Works in connection with the request to anticipate the grant on tbe Te KuitiAwakino road met with a favourable reception from the Minister, who advised tbe deputation to at once have plans and specifications prepared and submitted for bis approval., The members of tbe deputation returned to Te Kuiti by the 2 a.m. express on Wednesday, and the County Engineer has been instructed to prepare specifications for three miles of metalling. As soon as tbe Minister's approval to the plans is obtained tenders will be called for the work.
