AUCKLAND WOOL SALE.
The first sale of th*» present season's wool was held in Auckland yesterday and the results may be considered most satisfactory, some buyers estimating that on the average there was a rise of 2d per ib as compared with prices last year. A roucb larger quantity of wool than usual was submitted and few tots were parsed tn. At the start of the sale crossbred sold for 8 I-2d to 9d per lb; very fine sold from U)d to 11 l-2d; half fared Id; or« tine lot realised la 2d p«r ib. Piewsa old from -M to 7 I-2d !b.
