New Zealanders at Sydney.

SYDNEY.. October 12. At the Australasian rille competitions, which arc proceeding at Randwick. the Members' match was won by a local rifleman named Masefield. Dewar, Auckland: and Marenzie, Bketah'ina. won £1 each. The scores of the other New Z<?alanders were: - Hadfield, Hawthorne. McConnell 12; Craw, I,oveday4l: Cox. Bradley-10: Munro, King, Guy. Mills 39; Moore 38; James 37; Shaw 36; Hobb*3s; Halliday34; Clyde. Franklin, Evans 31: I>ce 29. Following are the scores of the New Zealand non-pritctakrrs in the Jubilee match fired yesterday:— Hobbs 91, Duncan. Cox. James 90; Had Held 89; Halliday. Bradley, 87; Masefield, l.ovcday. Franklin, Willoughby 86: Hawthorne 85; Shaw, Guy, 84; Lee, Milts, S3: Evans 81; Moore 77; McConnell 71.

Today there was a fresh brerze, and the light was dull. The Jaqucs match was won by Brown, of Parramatta, with 50. Hawthorne, James, Moore, and Bradley scored 47, and Goy and Evans 46, all securing £l. Shaw, Hadfteld, WHlooghby, Craw, Marenzi, Hobbs, Frank in scored 45. Patrick, Monro, Mills and Cox 44; King and Haiday 43; Duncan 42; Dewar 41; Loveday. Lee, McConnell 40. The Dudley match was won by Robinson, Queensland, with 50. Loveday, Ohura was fifth, with 49, and got £3. Patrick 48, Hawthorne, Clyde, Mastfield, and Guy 47, got XI each. The scores of the other New Zcalanders were:—Cox, Lee, 4<f; Shaw, Craw, Monro 45; Hadfteld, King, Halliday, McConnell 44; James, Bradley 43; Hobbs, Duncan 42; Evans, Marenzi 41; Moore, Willougbby 40; Dewar, Franklin, Mills 37. The first stage of the competition for the King's Prize commences tomorrow. The New Zealanders express themselves as well satisfied with conditions the ranges, and in practice are shoot* ing well up to expectations. The selection of. the eight men to compete in the Empire match will not be made till Saturday.
