With reference to the New Main Trunk line railway service, which, it is said, is to commence on November ], it is understood, says the "Dominion", that there will be, at the same time, a guieral revision of the time table. It is well known that the time between Auckland and Wellington can be cut down easily by two hours. It is reported that there is a poesibiity of the Wellington-Napier express service being ran via Manawatu instead of via W«irarapa. If this were done the time between Napier and Wellington could be lessened also about two boors, besides making a pleasanter journey for through passengers.
